Short-Term Missions
Christian Surfers host many short-term mission opportunities. Most of these are managed nationally with restrictions on those who can join from outside the organisation. Contact either the nation you are from, or the nation you are interested in going to find out more details.
Christian Surfers Australia Short Term Outreaches
- Ben and Amee Morris are currently praying about taking a team to Japan or some other exotic location in Asia this year with the birth of CS in Taiwan and talk in CS circles regarding places such as China, Sri Lanka, Philippines, South Korea!! Yep South Korea. Contact Ben and Amee about being a part of this outreach.
- Tim Osbourne, a much loved bodyboarding cousin from Narrabeen, Sydney, is looking to lead a group to Puerto Escondido, Mexico in early December this year. Please contact Tim if you are feeling like a taco, a barrelo, an outreacho to Mexico this year.
- Aaron Hughes, is looking to lead a team to Indo in late 2010 or early 2011. This trip could take on a different shape than previous years. Contact Aaron if you're interested in serving the crew over there.
- There is talk of there being a trip to the Phillipines to follow up on last years effort by the Gold Coast CS crew and the potential trip is currently discussing water filtration systems and identifying a leader that could make an outreach happen in partnership with Hope for the Island at Cloud 9. - Walking on Water have a variety of mission opportunites throughout the year. Visit their website for more info.
- Surfing the Nations. Honolulu, Hawaii. Year round discipling and missions course. Contact Tom Bauer for more info.
- PI Indonesia. Special surfer mission trips are provided for islands off Bali with another established mission organization. Visit Shemah Tours for more info.
- CS Florianopolis in Brazil run a Surf House, which they would love to have people visit. It's in a beautiful area with great surf and they are running a wonderful outreach ministry. Visit their website for more info and watch this video to see the exciting things they have going there.
Others
- Chaplaincy at pro surfing events. Chaplaincy requires specific skills and endorsements. Contact Brad Whittaker for more info.
- Volunteer graphic artists for brochures, t-shirt and sticker design, clip art, logo development around the world. Contact CSI.
- Volunteer writers and photographers for articles for Surfers Bibles, outreaches, press releases, etc. Contact CSI.
