within our international family on mission
As one of the worlds great international crossroads of surfing Christian Surfers is vitally interested in a surf mission to Indonesia. Our long term CS team has felt led to focus on other aspects of mission still including surfing, but not the focus. This leaves an empty space for a fresh expression of CS. You are welcome to prayerfully express interest in this mission field. There are locals, expats and also international travellers. Multiple strategies are needed.
The suitable person will need to be a mission minded Christian of character, a passionate surfer, bilingual in english and Indonesian (or be willing to learn) able to engage sensitively with non Christian persons of faith (Islam and Hindu) and embrace the vision, mission and values of Christian Surfers. They will be able to operate in a restricted access nation aware of the challenges of sharing ones faith there. We are recruiting a team so the ability to form this is vital. The workers sourced for this may be locals (nationals or expats) or career missionaries (to be processed by a partner mission agency or already have one) or business as mission option (surf tourism the most obvious visa option). Not for the fainthearted and called of God, this is no easy assignment despite the exotic appearance!

INDONESIA
AREA DIRECTOR
An Area Director’s purpose is to empower encourage and develop the mission of CS within their area and encourage alignment at global level within the International Leadership Team.
Christian Surfers is a global mission organisation dedicated to creating opportunities for every surfer and every surfing community to know and follow Jesus. The surf culture is rapidly expanding in breadth and depth and CSI is growing to meet this challenge. Thus an Area Director’s role will be part of the Global Leadership Team (GLT) and be focussed on mission development in one of three geographic areas. They will above all exemplify our CS values and live a Christ centered life of integrity. They will have proven servant leadership skills and are capable of developing, managing and empowering high capacity geographic and strategic teams. They will have a broad cross cultural awareness to care for and motivate and encourage people within our mission.

An operations administrator is a key part of a management team and supports many high-level teams and projects. They analyze and improve organizational processes, and work to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency. This is someone with high technical proficiency, a forward-thinking workflow mindset, and someone who works well with a variety of people. Also of utmost importance is a dedication to follow Jesus.
If meeting with leaders to implementing action plans in different areas is something that you’re called to then this is for you. From overseeing budgets to innovating models through technology and other resources. Christian Surfers is looking for a competent candidate with 5+ years experience in a managerial position with strong leadership, superb communication- and interpersonal skills.
