Your Wellspring, Dry or Overflowing?

As we near the end of our first quarter of 2018 and everyone is running at full speed it may be a good time to pause and evaluate our new years resolutions? Are they taking root or looking a little tarnished?
I was recently inspired by a sentence which I saw in a church.
"Love God, love people, live life and advance His Kingdom."
This statement has four distinct parts but the latter three all depend on how we prioritize the first one...LOVE GOD.
Love God
It all starts and ends here with our God who first loved us. He is our wellspring, our source, origin, our beginning point. Anyone who goes without a drink of water for even a few hours on a hot day will soon be looking to quench their thirst. Personally, I often feel spiritually parched because I have not prioritized my most important relationship. Spending time with our immutable, unfathomable and unimaginable source of life is our privilege, should be our passion and will certainly be our sustenance. (John 3:16) (John 14:6)
Love People
Our God is all about people. "This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other." (John 13:35)
Let us remember His "Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me." And so may we extend to others this amazing Grace given to us that we might see.
Live Life
John 10:10 has long been a life verse for me. Jesus said, "I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of." Remember the antithesis of this is that the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. Stolen time from God, our families and others kills and poisons relationships and robs us of the full life He intended. It nullifies us for the Kingdom work. So let us live our lives not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit. By loving God first and making time for others.
Advance His Kingdom
The beautiful thing about the good news gospel is that it's about us as orphans with no hope undeservedly being adopted by supreme royalty. Not only do we move from death to life but also from slaves of one master to the Sons and Daughters of the king. We are invited into the family business in the Kingdom of greatest hope.
Let us forcefully advance His Kingdom of hope, pouring out ourselves generously but sustainably across every coastline. Living LIFE filled with love for people and sustained by a deep personal prioritized relationship with the source of all life. Our wellspring.
In Him we live, and move and have our being (Acts 17:28)
En lo que termina el primer trimestre del año 2018 y nuestras vidas avanzan a toda velocidad, estaría bien tomar una pausa y evaluar nuestras resoluciones de fin de año. ¿Están tomando forma, o se ven empañados?
Hace poco vi una frase en una iglesia que me inspiró mucho.
“Ama a Dios, ama a las personas, vive tu vida y avanza Su Reino.”
Esta frase tiene cuatro partes muy notables, pero las últimas tres van a depender de cómo damos prioridad a la primera… AMAR A DIOS.
Amar a Dios
Todo empieza y termina aqui, con el Dios que nos amó primero. Él es nuestro manantial, nuestra fuente, nuestro origen, nuestro comienzo. Si una persona no toma agua durante unas horas en un día muy caluroso, pronto estará buscando cómo saciar su sed. Personalmente, llego a sentir espiritualmente deshidratado con frecuencia porque no he dado prioridad a mi relación más importante. Es un privilegio poder convivir con nuestra fuente de vida que es tan inmutable, incomprensible e inconcebible. Debería ser nuestra pasión buscarlo, y definitivamente llegará a ser nuestro sustento (Juan 3:16) (Juan 14:6).
Amar a las Personas
A nuestro Dios le interesa las personas. "De este modo todos sabrán que son mis discípulos - si se aman los unos a los otros” (Juan 13:35).
Debemos recordar Su "Sublime gracia, cuán dulce el sonido, que salvó a un desgraciado como yo”. Para que podamos extender esa misma gracia increíble que se nos ha dado para que pudiéramos ver.
Vivir Nuestras Vidas
Juan 10:10 ha sido un versículo de vida para mi. Jesús dijo: "yo he venido para que tengan vida, y la tengan en abundancia”. Recuerden que el antítesis de esto es el ladrón que viene a robar, matar y destruir. El robar tiempo con Dios, con nuestras familias y con otros causa que nuestras relaciones sean envenenadas y destruidas, y nos roba de esa vida de abundancia que Él diseñó. Nos anula para el trabajo de Su Reino. Entonces vivamos nuestras vidas no por fuerza, ni por poder, sino por Su Espíritu. Amemos a Dios primero y apartemos tiempo para otros.
Avanzar Su Reino
Lo hermoso del evangelio de las buenas nuevas es que se trata de nosotros como huérfanos sin esperanza, siendo adoptados sin merecerlo por una realeza suprema. No solo pasamos de muerte a vida, pero también de ser esclavos a ser hijos e hijas del Rey. Somos invitados a tomar parte del negocio familiar en el Reino de la mayor esperanza.
Avancemos con fuerza Su Reino de esperanza, derramándonos con generosidad pero de manera sustentable por todas las costas. Viviendo vidas llenas de amor por los demás y sostenidas por una relación personal, profunda y priorizada con la fuente de toda la vida. Nuestro manantial.
En Él vivimos y nos movemos y tenemos nuestro ser (Hechos 17:28)
