Wednesday Evening Session
Wednesday evening was reserved for the Americas area and, true to form, they brought the entertainment.
After another awesome round of worship, our hosts CSUS National Director Jimmy Kaiser and CS Costa Rica National Director Damian Boza introduced us to a round of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ featuring teams from multiple different Latin American backgrounds treating us to a different dance (along with some good, ol’ American hip-hop), performed beautifully, before challenging particular couples from the audience to match them, with the crowd voicing their opinion on who was the most entertaining.
Roy & Sharon Harley did surprisingly well before Brett & Gill Davis brought the house down, but it turned out that was just the prelude to the far more hilarious and entertaining acts from Moy & Svein Barkved from Norway and the hands-down winners Kock and Rianne de Vries from Holland. Sufficient to say it was high-quality viewing.
From there we were given insight into the many nations present, and even those who weren’t, filling us in on what God is doing throughout North, South and Central America, where some of our greatest growth is currently taking place.
The evening was capped off with a celebration of the dedication and years of service of Dustin Miller as North America Regional Coordinator, with Eric Arakawa presenting him with a custom surfboard.
