Name: Rachel Viljoen

Role: Victoria Regional Coordinator

Country: Australia

Hey there!

My name is Rachel, a 23-year-old living on a small island in Victoria called Phillip Island, where the waves are pretty much good always! My role in Christian Surfers Australia is to coordinate the state of Victoria and help develop leaders and missions in the region. I have been in this role for just over a year now but have been involved with CS for about 5/6 years. It has been so life-giving, and I feel very honoured and privileged to be a part of such an incredible organisation! I am also a student currently studying a Bachelor in Theology, which has helped broaden my biblical knowledge and leadership skills for my role in Christian Surfers.

I am very excited to be attending the Bali gathering this year, as it will be my first international gathering! It will be a great opportunity to connect with leaders around the globe, hear testimonies, and learn about new cultures within Christian Surfers! However, currently my finances are a stretch to get there whilst being a student. Any support would be so greatly appreciated and a huge blessing. To cover the conference and travel expenses I need to raise roughly $2000. Thank you for reading a bit about me, and looking forward to meeting many new faces in a few months!

*Each donation will be met with a matching gift courtesy of Christian Surfers (up to $500AUD per nominee).

*If a team member can't attend the Gathering, their raised funds will be allocated to support other leaders fundraising for the event.
