Meet the Bacquet Family

My wife Kassi and I have been married for almost 20 years. We have 5 amazing kids - Tyler (25), Tannyn (18), Tayli (15) and our twins Tavvi and Trax (10). Our oldest son Tyler is married to his wife Veronica and together they have 3 kids - Presley (5), Knox (3) and Banx (10 months). We currently live on the Central Coast of California where we have endless miles of epic coastline to score and enjoy year round surf with world class waves.

For the last 9 years I have served as an Area Director for the mission of Young Life here in the Central Coast of California. Full time ministry is always stepping out in faith and as the Lord called us into stepping out and into my new role with Christian Surfers the fit couldn’t be better.

Our passion for Jesus and our love of surfing as a family has come together in such an amazing way as we have stepped out in faith to join Christian Surfers International. Through God’s leading and a whole lot of prayer, I will be coming on as the Area Manager for the Americas starting August 1, 2023. We are so excited for the journey ahead as we step out as a family on mission to reach surfers and surfing communities with the love and the hope of Jesus Christ.

Area Manager for the Americas

Currently Christian Surfers is working in 33 different affiliated nations with 175 local mission groups focused on reaching surfers & surfing communities with the good news of Jesus. The vision for 2030 is to be in 100 countries with 1000 local chapters!

The Americas area hosts the largest number of affiliated nations with the largest population of surfers in the entire globe. Christian Surfers has a long history of affiliates and missions throughout the Americas. Thousands of lives have been changed and countless communities have been served as we carry out our mission to reach every surfer and surfing Community with the love and the hope of Jesus Christ.

The role of the Area Manager will be to work alongside the Area Director to help support and grow the ministry of Christian Surfers throughout the Americas Area. As Area Manager I will come alongside Regional Coordinators and National Directors to help them develop the area team and area plans to keep them aligned with the overall CSI movement. As I serve the staff and volunteers I will be coaching, growing and empowering the area teams to help facilitate the development of Christian Surfers throughout the area. As I walk alongside the Area Team I will also partner with them in discipleship, leadership development and care of the field staff and volunteers throughout the area. The role also will provide me with opportunities to coordinate with Christian Surfers International to help support initiatives around Groundswell Aid, Surf Church Collective and The Surfers Bible.
