The Undervalued Commodity of Faithfulness

In a world obsessed with visibility, faithfulness can feel underrated.

We celebrate fast growth, big platforms and impressive achievements. But God often does His deepest work through people who simply keep showing up.

Faithfulness isn’t glamorous.

It looks like arriving early for work with integrity.
Serving customers with patience.
Leading your family well.
Answering friends honestly.
Encouraging a struggling coworker.

Showing up and setting gear up week after week.
Choosing character when compromise would be easier.

Most of life is lived in the ordinary. The day to day.

That’s why faithfulness matters so much.

John Cobian, founder of a company in the USA in the surf industry and pastor, reminds us that God often works through everyday obedience. Before there was a successful business, ministry partnerships or global influence, there was simply a man choosing to follow God one step at a time - even when it cost him comfort, relationships and security.

And that same principle applies to all of us.

Whether you shape surfboards, clean floors, study and do homework, run meetings, serve coffees, raise kids, manage accounts or work behind the scenes - what you spend your time on each day matters when it’s surrendered to God.

Colossians 3:23 says:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”

Faithfulness may not always get applause from people, but it always matters to God.

We don’t always get things right but God’s mercies are new each morning, He knows we can be forgetful and need fresh starts everyday!

The Kingdom is built by faithful servants, like the waves lapping the shore going day by day:
people who pray when nobody sees,

show up when they don’t feel like it,
serve when nobody notices,
and continue trusting Jesus through every season.

Success isn’t the goal after all.

Faithfulness is.
