Old Salts Trips
Old Salts Trips are about CS friends making new connections whilst having an adventure in a great surfing location. Each trip gives the opportunity to make a connection with the local expression of Christian Surfers and also raise funds for CS. The majority of these trips are self-catering, with one meal at a restaurant. Each evening we host an ‘inspiration spot’ that is open to the floor, so be prepared if you want to share something with the others. In 2018 we are offering 5 opportunities for 7 friends and supporters of Christian Surfers to share a week away together.
These trips all begin at the location and Old Salts are responsible for their own travel arrangements to the venue. However, we have a helpful travel agent in Australia who is only too happy to chase the best prices and group discounts for those departing from the same airport. Once you register for a trip we will connect you with the other travellers and our agent.
Trip #1: Hawaii
January 27 - February 3, 2018

7 nights all-inclusive with food, accommodation, car rental and administration (including CS donation).
Located on the Kam Hwy, within walking distance of the stretch of beach near Pipeline, The Sunset Beach Christian Church owns a closed school and Pastor Larry has made his facility available to us: www.sbccs.org
Accommodation is a shared living arrangement of multiple beds in an empty classroom. There are private showers and a separate building with kitchen and dining facility where we will self cater. A separate small apartment exists for snorer/s or those who need additional privacy. It’s basic and cheap and most of the time we will be outside.
This group will enjoy a guided surf experience by the founder of CS Brett Davis of Australia. Brett has travelled to Hawaii many times and will be connecting you with Eric Arakawa for boards and shaping learning experience as well as daily inspirational conversations to grow you as a man as well as a surfer.
To help out Larry we will do some basic maintenance (painting, carpentry of other skills you might have) in down time.

Accommodation is in the comfort of a private home with 4 bedrooms, each with an ensuite and comfortable living areas all within a short walk to Sunset and the famous North Shore strip. We will be self catering.

June 9-16, 2018

Located in an ocean front house in walking distance to the iconic lineup. Get up, grab a coffee and stroll the boardwalk before chasing long right handers
Accommodation is in the comfort of a private home (walking distance to supertubes) We will be self catering. The founder of CS Brett Davis of Australia will provide a guided surf experience. Brett has travelled to JBay many times and will be connecting you with the new International Director Roy Harley as well as CS opportunities locally including the poorer township. There are some great extras available with game park tours, shark cage diving and bungy jumping all nearby.
