Soy Said, tengo 23 años y formo parte del liderazgo en desarrollo de Christian Surfers Tamarindo, una comunidad que está creciendo en la zona norte de Costa Rica, compartiendo el amor de Jesús a través del surf y la comunidad.
Hace casi dos años tomé la decisión de entregar mi vida a Cristo en medio de una etapa difícil. Yo mismo describo ese momento como estar “en el pozo de los leones”, haciendo referencia a la historia de Daniel, uno de los primeros libros de la Biblia que leí. Hoy reconozco que fue Dios quien me rescató y me dio una nueva identidad y propósito.
Actualmente asisto a la iglesia Casa Vida y soy parte activa de Christian Surfers, donde he encontrado algo que es fundamental para mí: familia, comunidad y propósito. A través del surf, las relaciones y el discipulado, he crecido en mi fe y he comenzado a desarrollar un llamado claro por compartir el evangelio con otros jóvenes que, como yo, alguna vez estuvieron perdidos.
También soy apasionado por el surf, practico artes marciales y tengo un talento especial para el dibujo, dones que busco usar para honrar a Dios y conectar con otros.
Hoy, como líder en desarrollo, tengo la oportunidad de asistir a la Conferencia de las Américas de Christian Surfers en Brasil, un espacio clave para crecer en liderazgo, fortalecer mi fe y entender mejor el movimiento a nivel continental. Esta sería mi primera experiencia viajando fuera del país y representa una oportunidad significativa para mi crecimiento personal y espiritual.
Para poder asistir, necesito recaudar aproximadamente $1,400 USD, que cubrirán mis vuelos y el costo de la conferencia.

My name is Said, I am 23 years old, and I am part of the developing leadership team of Christian Surfers Tamarindo, a community that is growing in the northern region of Costa Rica, sharing the love of Jesus through surfing and community.
Almost two years ago, I made the decision to give my life to Christ during a very difficult season. I often describe that moment as being “in the lions’ den,” referring to the story of Daniel, one of the first books of the Bible I read. Today, I recognize that it was God who rescued me and gave me a new identity and purpose.
I currently attend Casa Vida Church and am an active member of Christian Surfers, where I have found something that is fundamental to me: family, community, and purpose. Through surfing, relationships, and discipleship, I have grown in my faith and have begun to develop a clear calling to share the gospel with other young people who, like me, were once lost.
I am also passionate about surfing, practice martial arts, and have a special talent for drawing—gifts that I seek to use to honor God and connect with others.
Today, as a developing leader, I have the opportunity to attend the Christian Surfers Americas Conference in Brazil, a key space for growing in leadership, strengthening my faith, and gaining a deeper understanding of the movement across the continent. This would be my first experience traveling outside of my country and represents a significant opportunity for my personal and spiritual growth.
To attend, I need to raise approximately $1,400 USD, which will cover my flights and the cost of the conference.
